Cookie Policy
Effective as of May 14, 2018
What are cookies?
A cookie is a small text file containing a certain amount of information exchanged between a website and your terminal (usually the browser) and is normally used by the operator of a website to store necessary information in order to improve navigation within the website or to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user. When you visit the same website again or any other website, the device checks for a recognized cookie, so it can read the information it contains. Different cookies contain different information and are used for different purposes (efficient navigation within the pages of the same website, profiling in order to send targeted promotional messages, analysis of the number of visits to the website).
During navigation, the user can also receive cookies sent from different websites or web servers (so-called third parties) where some other elements may exist (ex. images, maps, sounds, specific links to other page domains) on the website that the user is visiting.
More generally, some cookies (called session cookies) are assigned to the user’s device only for the duration of access to the website and expire automatically when the browser is closed. Other cookies (defined as persistent) remain on the device for a prolonged period of time.
The specific purposes of the different types of cookies installed on this website are described below.
You can disable cookies by following the information below.
Features and purposes of cookies installed by the website
If you do not want to receive cookies, you can change the settings of your browser so that you are notified when cookies are sent or you can refuse cookies. You can also delete cookies that have already been installed on your device.
If you want to limit or block browser cookies that are already installed on your device, you can do so by setting the browser itself. The Settings section of the browser should tell you how to do this.
For more information on cookies and how to manage them, you can visit AboutCookies.org which contains detailed information on how to intervene with different types of browsers.
By deactivating cookies you risk losing some features of the website.
How do we use cookies?
Here is the information necessary to identify the installed cookies, their function, and their duration on your device.
Technical cookies
This type of cookie allows the proper functioning of certain sections of the website. There are 2 categories: persistent and session
✓ persistent: once your browser is closed, the cookies are not destroyed but remain up to a preset expiration date;
✓ session: they are destroyed every time the browser is closed.
These cookies, always sent from our domain, are necessary to view the website correctly and in relation to the technical services offered, will therefore always be used and sent, unless the user changes the browser settings (thus disrupting the display of website’s pages).
Analytic cookies
Cookies from this category are used to collect information about the use of the website. Halldis SpA will use this information for anonymous statistical analysis in order to improve the use of the website and to make the content more interesting and relevant for its users. This type of cookie collects anonymous data on the activity of the users and how they arrived at the website. Analytical cookies are sent from the website itself or from third-party domains.
Analytic cookies for third-party services
These cookies are used in order to collect anonymous information on the users’ use of the website such as: pages visited, time spent, origins of the traffic, geographic origin, age, gender, and interests for the purpose of marketing campaigns. These cookies are sent from third-party domains external to the website.
Cookies to integrate products and functions of third-party software
This type of cookie integrates features developed by third parties within the pages of the website such as icons and preferences expressed in social networks in order to share site content or for the use of third-party software services (such as software to generate maps and additional software that offers other services). These cookies are sent from third-party domains and from partner sites that offer their functionality between the pages of the website.
Profiling cookies
These cookies are necessary to create user profiles in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user within the pages of the website.
Websites and third-party services
The website may contain links to other websites that have their own privacy policy which may be different from that adopted by halldis.com and therefore is not to be held responsible for these sites.
